It's Absolutely Boiling Here!

I'm back again to tell you all that we've all had a superb day! We were up at 6am this morning and ready to go for breakfast in the most gorgeous hotel called The Mountain Inn. We were welcomed by the owner, Marcus Ward, and were allowed to select from the tasty food in the buffet and then shown to the board room where we would get more privacy and avoid the rush of guests. It was also while we ate we went over to the window which had the most amazing view of the mountains and valley. You could just stare at it all day.
Also, during breakfast, we learned of a spiritual battle between the Devil and the Lord's good work in Eswatini. After hearing about this we felt compelled to pray. Honestly, standing there in the boardroom, looking out over the mountains and discussing how, as christians, we were fighting against the darkness...I felt pretty powerful in that moment. As if I was at Castle Cair Paravel in Narnia or one of the knights at the round table.

We were given a little time to ourselves to walk around the grounds, however after eating breakfast Liz McAuley began to feel sick again, Lindsey too, and so they got a lift from Bill back to Hawane for the day with Liz Houston acting as stand-in nurse. That left myself, Victoria, Stephen, Geoff, Heather and Helen to do our devotional outside the hotel. It was pretty fun just to look out at the view and soak in the sun. Got to work on that tan, you know.

Afterwards, once Bill and Bongani returned with the other van, we set off for Noah's Ark Academy where we were to greet some kids. The scenery surrounding Noah's ark was amazing with huge boulders and trees everywhere, Bongani even informed us that one of the giant cliff/mountains of rock we could see was recently discovered to be the biggest in the world. Yes, bigger than Ayers Rock! The Aussies aren't too happy apparently.

Now, when I tell you we were attacked when we entered Noah's Ark you better believe me. We were immediately surrounded by children who wanted nothing more than to hug, high-five, climb on top of us, feel our hair and be picked up by us. At one point my dress was ripped open and I also have a button that now needs sewn back on.  It was pretty hectic. Soon enough we managed to detach the children long enough to sit them down for a story and then sing a couple of songs. We stopped for a light lunch and then waited for the Bible class to arrive which also involved song older children. The afternoon was then jam-packed with different activities with the children. Jackie had herself and the older children running laps outside despite the fact it was 35.5 degrees out. I hadn't even been running and I'd been dripping with sweat!

By the time we'd peeled ourselves away from the children and Noah's ark, we were exhausted, hot and dying to get back to Hawane for some rest. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, especially considering Liz and Lindsey were feeling much better! We ate a dinner of rice, pork, roast potatoes and spinach (I don't even like spinach but I admit it was actually pretty good- but then again I was really hungry to begin with). Then we played a couple of games that had us all giggling. All in all, it was a brilliant day, if not long. Anyways, I'll update tomorrow night! God Bless!
